According to the requirements of the laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia, AS Ventbunkers has established the Department for Fire-Extinguishing and Elimination of Consequences of Accidents.
This specialized structural unit of AS Ventbunkers provides fire prevention, fire extinguishing, and rescue works, as well as works of liquidation of consequences of accidents in the terminal’s area. Employees of the Department for Fire-Extinguishing and Elimination of Consequences of Accidents are specially trained and continue to improve their theoretical and practical training and studies on a daily basis.
Every year, in cooperation with the State Fire and Rescue Service, as well as with adjacent high-risk facilities, civil protection exercises are organized, during which mutual cooperation is tested and knowledge is improved by performing practical tasks in the event of fire in high-risk facilities or when dealing with elimination of consequences of accidents.
